Smuggler's truck collides with fuel tanker kills 5 migrants

*Libya 05.02.2020 – A collision near Sabha between smuggling truck transporting migrants and a fuel tanker resulted in 19 seriously injured & 4 dead incl. 1 Libyan. All accident victims were transferred to Sabha Medical Center for emergency treatment.

116 stranded migrants returned safely home with IOM support to Niger

* Libya 04.01.2020 - A total of 116 stranded migrants returned safely home with IOM support to Niger on special charter flight from Libya.

12 stranded migrants returned safely home to Niger

* Libya 04.01.2020 - 12 stranded migrants from Niger returned safely home with IOM assistance via Mitiga International Airport at Janzour Immigration Detention Center.

Open Day for Migrants at Qunfudah Immigration Shelter

* Libya 01.02.20 - Open Day for Migrants - DCIM administration organized day of sport activities for all stranded migrants at Qunfudah Immigration Shelter. Activities included soccer, running and chess competition. The day was concluded with prize presentation and communal meal.

Libyan Coast Guard ship "Fezzan" SAR Op 30.01.2020

🔴 SAR Op 30.01.20 - Libyan Coast Guard ship "Fezzan" rescued 17 migrants including 6 women and 6 children from 1 boat 96 nm North of Tripoli. All disembarked safely at Tripoli Naval Base and were subsequently released.
