Libyan Coast Guard ship "Sabratha" SAR Op 09.01.2020

🔴 SAR Op 09.01.20 - Libyan Coast Guard ship "Sabratha" rescued 222 migrants incl. women and  children in 3 separate operations. All disembarked safely at Tripoli Naval Base. Upon medical assistance and humanitarian aid migrants were transferred to DCIM detention center.

Visit by IOCEA director to migrant shelter in Sabratha

* Libya 15.01.20 - Visit by IOCEA director to migrant shelter in Sabratha where he was briefed by staff on poor conditions and migrants needs. IOCEA provided blankets, mattresses and other cleaning supplies. IOCEA assured provision of additional supplies in the coming days incl. follow up on migrants health status. It was also noted that the shelter is an old building in urgent need of renovation to comply with humanitarian and international standards.
