Libyan immigration authorities repatriated 75 Chadian migrants

* Libya 13.02.20 - DCIM authorities at Kufra Immigration Shelter repatriated over land border crossing 75 migrants of Chadian nationality who have entered Libya illegally. The group included women with small children and 2 infants. Also individuals who were convicted of felonies in Ajdabiya and Kufra. Once again requests for assistance issued by the DCIM Admin in Kufra to international organizations IOM and UNHCR were left unanswered ❗️

Libyan Coast Guard ship "Fezzan" SAR Op 10.02.2020

🔴 SAR Op 10.02.20 - Libyan Coast Guard ship "Fezzan" rescued 85 migrants including women and children from 1 boat 35 nm North of Tripoli. All rescued disembarked safely at Tripoli Naval Base where they received medical assistance and humanitarian aid.

[UPDATE] 11.02.20 - 80 migrants rescued by the Libyan Coast Guard transferred to Janzour Immigration Detention Center for processing and accommodation.

Joint Maltese - Libyan migrant rescue operation 09.02.2020

🔴 SAR Op 09.02.20 - Malta Armed Forces P-62 and Libyan Coast Guard ship "Ras Jadar" rescued in joint night operation 91 migrants from 1 boat. All migrants upon rescue were transferred to Maltese warship and are currently awaiting disembarkation.

Meeting of Coastal Security Director with IOM

* Libya 06.02.2020 - Meeting of Coastal Security Director and IOM Head of Immigration & Border Management in Tripoli. During meeting issues of joint cooperation, establishment of disembarkation points, training and capacity building of coastal security staff were discussed.

Smuggler's truck collides with fuel tanker kills 5 migrants

*Libya 05.02.2020 – A collision near Sabha between smuggling truck transporting migrants and a fuel tanker resulted in 19 seriously injured & 4 dead incl. 1 Libyan. All accident victims were transferred to Sabha Medical Center for emergency treatment.
